Our lives are often chaotic and stormy. We can be overwhelmed, scattered, confronted by unexpected events. And this can shut us down or have us go into anxious overdrive … or we can simply be with the chaos in a relaxed way.

When we encounter emotions and behaviours that don’t make sense to us, it’s often because we don’t have all the information. And in the absence of information, we tend to assume the worst.

I catch myself far too often assuming the worst because I don't have all of the information. It's worth remembering that the worst-case scenario usually has no grounding in reality, and the only reason I'm thinking it is because I have made assumptions.
